The DharamsalaNet Web-Radio featured music by emerging artists
from the Tibetan community-in-exile as well as live events from the Dharamsala
area, broadcasting from Upper Dharamkot between 1998 and 2004.
You will need a media player to listen, such as the free
"Player365", download
here, or other mp3 player such as Real Player, Sonique, MusicMatch, WinAmp
and Windows Media Player etc. 128 ISDN modem or faster internet connection
is required.
Now about the ads... there is really nothing I can do about them as long as the
DharamsalaNet continues to broadcast on a budget and half a shoestring! But it does now cost
money to broadcast (with royalties going to the Digital Sound Recording
Performance) so there will continue to be streaming advertisements at current rates.
Considering the talent of the musicians featured, an ad once in a while is
actually not too intrusive. Enjoy some great Tibetan music and support
struggling musicians anyway you can. I have established a secure site so
purchasing CD's directly from the musicians will be made easier. The links will
become more prominent as the web-pages are developed.
